Engineered Hardwoods

Engineered hardwood is made of multiple layers of wood which are bonded together with adhesive under intense heat and pressure, with a top layer of your chosen wood type.

The layered construction provides added stability – it’s is less likely to expand, contract or shift with moisture, humidity and temperature than solid wood. This allows you to use engineered hardwood for more applications than traditional solid wood. For example, it can be installed in basements or directly over concrete subfloors without a problem.

Most engineered hardwoods can be sanded and refinished several times over the lifetime of the product.
